DAVAO CITY – Therma South, a subsidiary of Aboitiz Power, is hiring employees starting from positions of power station manager down to office and administrative staff as its 300-MW base-load power plant is about to operate. Therma Marine added that more staff will be hired as the power plant is expected to go in full commercial operations by early 2015. This will bring the needed capacity for Mindanao grid which is suffering from an acute shortage in power supply. They will also hire young engineers who will be sent for domestic and international training.
