ROXAS CITY, Capiz (PIA) - Sixty college students in the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) here ended their 20-day summer job last Friday, May 31. the city government set aside P156,000 for the students' P150/day salary. Work started last May 3. Public Employment Service Office (PESO) - Roxas City manager Mila Barquin. Republic said Republic Act No. 9547 which mandates the SPES requires employers to pay 60 percent of the students' salary; the rest is paid by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
