Tacloban City, Leyte (PNA) - The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said some 2,500 job vacancies will be posted during a jobs fair to be held here at the Tacloban City Convention Center on May 1. At least 35 local employers offering 1,000 vacancies and five overseas manning agencies with 1,500 approved job orders have already confirmed participation in said jobs fair. Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) regional coordinator Rose P. Jervosa said, per directive of DOLE Sec. Rosalinda Baldoz, jobs available will not include household service workers or domestic helpers.
