March 17, 2013: All Set For Manila Bulletin’s 5th Job Fair

Around 4,000 job hunters and over 50 participating companies from various industries will again converge at the 5th Manila Bulletin Classifieds Job Fair, to be held on March 19-20, 2013, at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City,
Aiming to provide opportunities for job applicants and recruiters alike, the fifth job fair is expected to see job hunters once again taking that bold first step to a brighter future, as potential employers from some of the country’s booming industries, such as business process outsourcing (BPO), manufacturing, hospitality, and health, will be on hand to help participants land coveted jobs.
Riding on the momentum of the “Manila Bulletin Job Fair Extreme,” which took place on November 12-13, 2012, at the Megatrade Hall of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City, the latest career fair will bear the theme, “You’re on the Right Path.”
To give the best matches between the applicants and the job positions offered, based on the required competencies, extra effort and research have been done, according to an official statement from Manila Bulletin Corporate Communications Head Raul Rodriguez.
Also to be featured at the job fair is the classifiedjobs.com booth, where job applicants can register and avail the features and benefits of the country’s most user-friendly and comprehensive online recruitment site.
From the activity’s opening at 10 a.m. until the closing at 6 p.m., applicants can grab the chance to apply in top caliber companies, with four of the country’s prominent personalities and experts in the field of human resources and management giving free lectures and orientations.
On the first day, Tower Watson Growth Leader and Licensed EQ Trainer Ging Igual will talk about “Gearing Up For the World of Work at 1 p.m., followed by ITD Consulting Group Country Head Sereley Geraldine Alcaraz, who will lecture on “Acing the Job Interview” at 3 p.m.
For the second day, Vista Center for Professional Development Executive Director Ivy Rose Villanueva will share her expertise, through her talk on “How to Speed Up Your Job Search,” while Manila Bulletin External Affairs Head and United Press Media Group Vice President Barbie Atienza will discuss “Getting the Top Job,” at 3 p.m.
The upcoming job fair is aimed at helping Filipinos find jobs suited for them, and is designed to make a humble, yet significant contribution to the Philippines’ progress.
