Iloilo City, Iloilo (PIA) – Iloilo’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO), adjudged 2011’s Best Regional PESO Awardee, was able to secure jobs for over 700 jobseekers in job fairs it conducted last year. PESO-Iloilo Manager Francisco Heler,Jr. said the jobs fairs they held in April and December 2011 generated some 5,470 job opportunities. Local vacancies totalled 2,158 while those overseas numbered 3,582 from a total of 93 participating agencies. Some 754 of a total of 1,643 applicants who registered were able to find jobs, he said.
