Cotabato City – at least 500 slots for technical vocational skills training are now open to out-of-school youths in Maguindanao desiring to acquire additional qualification for employment or private enterprises. Salehk Mangelen, the provincial head of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in Maguindanao, said his office is now accepting applicants for such slots. Mangelen said the 500 trainees’ slots are provided under the joint program of the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE), TESDA and United Nations agencies on Population Fund (UNFPA) and Children’s Fund (UNICEF), International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the International Labor Organiztion (ILO).
