Iloilo City, Iloilo (PIA) – The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is helping typhoon survivors in Western Visayas bounce back after the devastation left by ‘Yolanda’ through its Skills Training for Emergency Employment Recovery Program or STEER. TESDA-6 Director Yolanda Porschwitz said its Central Office released an initial amount of P2 million to implement STEER which provides skills training opportunities for survivors in areas heavily affected by the super typhoon. From the fund, P500,000 each went to badly-hit provinces Iloilo and Capiz, P400,000 to Negros Occidental and P300,000 each to Aklan and Antique provinces.
