  January 16, 2014: Livelihood Program

DIPOLOG CITY (PIA) – The city government here through the Livelihood Skills Development and Enhancement Center (LSDEC), in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), recently conducted an orientation for the first batch of out-of-school-youth (OSY) to undergo livelihood training in this city. The City Information Office (CIO) disclosed that the training, which started on January 6, would last for 20 days. City Mayor Evelyn T. Uy challenged the trainees β€œto work hard, so that despite their not being able to finish a four-degree course, they could still find a decent job after the 20-day training.” On the other hand, Megan Ligutom of DOLE said that her office will also assist the trainees to put up their own business.
