December 19, 2013: Job Fairs Benefit More Pangasinenses
Lingayen, Pangasinan – The Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO) is pursuing its recruitment activities which are benefitting more Pangasinan workers as local companies increased their demand especially with the onset of the Christmas season.
After three job fairs were held last month, PESO held another one at the Kalantiao Building here last Dec. 10 to fill up job vacancies needed by the participating companies.
For local employment, Hanjin Heavy Industries and Const’n Phils, Inc. hired on the spot nine applicants to work as general workers while 10 more will be trained as welders and nine others will work as ship design staff.
Maxim De Humana Int’l, Inc. added four production operators also for local employment to its personnel. Earlier, it has scheduled 18 applicants for final interview during the previous jobs fair held last Nov. 26.
PESO Manager Alex Ferrer disclosed that 98 nurse applicants for Middle East qualified for further interview following the special recruitment activity last Dec. 4.
Yesterday, Shaso Int’l Manpower Services, Inc. conducted a special recruitment activity for skilled workers and household workers for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia while OPTIS will recruit production operators today, Dec. 19.
