TACLOBAN CITY (PNA) — The processing of contract of city government job hires has been delayed due to super-typhoon “Yolanda,” Vice Mayor Jerry Yaokasin said. He made the statement after some job order employees of the city government expressed apprehensions that their contracts might not be renewed. The employees’ feeling of despair is aggravated by the fact that they are also victims of the super-typhoon. Yaokasin said their contracts are not being renewed yet because there are many government priorities that need to be addressed first such as relief work and reconstruction.
