SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union — At least 10 government agencies and a non-government organization and 40 local employers and licensed recruitment agencies provided jobs at a recent fair held at Saint Louis College in this city. Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 1 Director Grace Ursua reported that a total of 103 jobseekers were hired on-the-spot at the job fair last Saturday. A total of 1,353 job applicants attended the job fair which offered at least 4,958 local and overseas job opportunities, said Ursua. “More jobseekers might be hired, as 816 will be subjected to further interview,” she said.
