August 5, 2013: Filipinos urged: ‘Buy Pinoy, Create Jobs’

Patronizing Philippine made products over imported items is one good value that young Filipinos must learn to embrace, the Buy Pinoy Movement stressed.
Marlane Villa-Real, president of the Buy Pinoy Movement Foundation, Inc. (BPMFI), said that local products will be showcased during the Buy Pinoy Exporters Fair (BPEF) to be held at the SM Megamall from August 15-18, 2013.
Filipino entrepreneurs and manufacturers will get to promote and sell their products directly to Filipino consumers as well as foreign tourists in the biggest fair of BPEF. The biannual fair has been subscribing to this anti-poor formula with its “Buy Pinoy Save Jobs!” The more Filipinos patronize Philippine made products, the more we create and save jobs. Philippine-made products and the Filipino’s keen business sense are strong factors that will continue to move the country’s economy forward.
There will be no imported products or imported products camouflaging as locally-made during the fair. For the past 10 years, BPEF has been providing beacons of hope to the poor countrymen by showing them tangible proofs of products of Filipino originality, artistry, craftsmanship and industry that has been in ever growing demand in the world market.
