Iloilo City, Iloilo — Two job fairs marking the Philippines’ 115th Independence Day anniversary today are make available a total of 15,868 jobs in the Western Visayas region.
This was revealed by Salome Siaton, assistant regional director of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-6), who said that the June 12 job fairs are simultaneously held in Iloilo and Bacolod cities.
The majority - 15,868 - of these job openings are in Iloilo City while a total of 12,013 vacancies are in Bacolod City.
In terms of local employment, the most sought-after of these available jobs are for call center customer service representatives, account executives, marketing professionals, account advisers, engineers, drivers, and baristas.
In both job fairs, DOLE-6 is in partnership with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (PCCI-Iloilo Chapter), and the regional offices of agencies including the National Conciliation and Mediation Board, National Labor Relations Commission , Home Mutual Development Fund , Social Security System, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and the Department of the Interior and Local Government .
