One day before the 2013 Kalayaan Job Fair slated on June 12, 2013 at the CSI La Union in this city, potential hired-on-the-spot were already noted by the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP)-La Union Chapter.
The job fair was realized in connection with the celebration of the 115th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence.
Maria Victoria DG-Soriano, Vice-President for Human Resource and Administration of the Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC), and President of the PMAP-La Union, confirmed Tuesday after the first ever pre-job fair coaching and learning sessions held last Monday at the city hall.
Soriano, who opted not to disclose the names of the potential hires, said that a number of the pre-registrants who underwent the mock or simulated interviews have shown substantial abilities suited for the job vacancies of companies which participated in the activity.
Dubbed as Essentials for Successful Career Preparation, the event was initiated by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Regional Office 1 in partnership with the PMAP-La Union and the La Union Provincial and City Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs) to equip applicants with pointers on how to successfully land a job.
