Davao City - About 5,000 jobs are expected to be added to the Information Technology-Business Process Outsourcing (IT-BPO) industry in Davao City. Bert Barriga, President of ICT Davao, an umbrella organization of IT groups in Davao City, said that with the present 16,000 IT-BPO workforce in the city by year's end they are hoping it would go up by 21,000. Barriga said that big call centers will be locating in the city declining to name these companies as a matter of policy among investor locators. One of the companies will be located at the soon-to-be-completed Abreeza Corporate Center.
