First time job seekers should be spared from paying fees to acquire government clearances, licenses and other documents as part of their employment requirement, a party-list lawmaker sought yesterday. AVE party-list Rep. Eulogio Magsaysay called on the government agencies, local government units and government-owned and controlled corporations not to impose fees on fresh graduates who are seeking employment within one year. “Every year, fresh graduates from high school, college and vocational schools foray into the job market where competition is always tough. They have to contend with processes and formalities particularly paper works, which if not circuitous or unnecessary are expensive,” Magsaysay said in filing House Bill 5565.
