  December 29, 2011: Arago launches micro-business training

Representative Ivy Arago (3rd District Laguna) to alleviate the effects of unemployment among her constituents, launched a four-year livelihood training project called Livelihood Financial Program.
On its initial undertaking, 190 qualified applicants will be trained by Department of Labor and Employment trainors on the field of micro-business.
Under this program to be supervised by lawyer Ricardo Martinez, DoLE Regional Director, trainees will be taught on how to be medium scale entrepreneurs so that they will be of economic help to their families.
Rep. Arago said, each trainee will received from her livelihood fund a P5,000 capital which could be used to start a business like rice retailing, buy and sell, crop raising, peanut butter making and cell phone loading businesses.
Arago assured that DoLE people with expertise on micro business will assist during the training of the 190 applicants who came from the different towns in the 3rd district of Laguna.
