Baguio City – The continuous expansion of foreign and local locators within the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) is now effectively and efficiently contributing to the creation of thousands of job opportunities for local residents.
PEZA officials disclosed the latest multinational company to venture within the exclusive economic zone or “ecozone” in Convergys, a company involved in relationship management, customer management solutions and billing solutions which is now based at the Hillsford properties within Camp John Hay.
The Ayala-owned Hillsford Properties serves as host to various call center companies, retail shops, fastfood chains and condominium units which will likely contribute to the enhancement of the local tourism industry because of the expected influx of foreign and domestic tourists wanting to witness new innovations in the state of the city’s development.
The are is conceptualized to serve business process outsourcing ventures and hosts operations of actual local and international hardware and software firms making the country as one of the premier BPO industry sources in the global village.
Relative to the environmental impact of the expansion projects, PEZA officials claimed the same ensures the establishment and maintenance of a central park and many open green areas which will help sustain the preservation and protection of the city’s unique cool and romantic climate which is its primordial tourist attraction.
